NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 7th of March, 1997

S.O. 173 (E). - In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests, no. S.O. 88 (E) dated the 6th February, 1997, namely :-

In the said notification for serial numbers (1) to (7) and the entries relating thereto the following shall be substituted, namely :-

1. Justice G. Ramanujam - Chairperson
(Retired Judge of the Madras High Court)

2. Dr. K. Algarswamy - Member
(Director, Central Institute of Brackish
Water Acquaculture, Egmore, Chennai,
expert in the filed of acquaculture).

3. Prof. R. C. Das - Member
(Chairman, Orissa Pollution Control
Board, Bhubaneshwar, expert in the field
of pollution control).

4. Dr. Satish Chandra - Member
(Retired Director of National Institute
of Hydrology, New Delhi, expert in the
field of environment protection).

5. Shri R.H. Khwaja - Member
(Jt. Secretary, representative of the
Ministry of Environment and Forests,
New Delhi).

6. Dr. P.V. Dehandrai - Member
(Deputy Director General (Fisheries),
Indian Council of Agricultural Research,
New Delhi, representative of the Ministry
of Agriculture).

7. Shri V.Venkatesan - Member
(Director, Marine Products Export
Development Authority, Cochin,
representative of the Ministry of commerce).
