Lalbagh likely to get a facelift

Lokayukta, Justice N. Venkatachala visited Lalbagh Botanical Garden on 26^th August 2002. During his visit Justice Venkatachala expressed his dissatisfaction about the coordination and maintenance of the garden.

Lokayukta has asked the park authorities to submit a detailed report on the measures to be taken to give a facelift to the garden.

The park authorities informed the Lokayukta that a joint action plan was being drawn to clean up the sewage flowing into the garden. Lokayukta insisted the park authorities to break up the amount while implementing the plant.

The park authorities later informed that Justice Venktachala is going to give his suggestions to the park authorities for the improvements of the garden based on his findings curing the visit.
